Grow-Out of Striped Murrel

Optimal Pond Setup:

Construct your pond in an area blessed with pristine water quality. Ideal for striped murrel cultivation, a pond size ranging from 0.1 to 0.2 hectares with a water depth of 1 to 1.5 meters ensures the perfect habitat. To prevent water seepage, consider lining the pond bottom and dyke meticulously.

Stocking and Growth
Kickstart your murrel venture with stocking sizes of 5-8 cm or more, at a density of 10,000 per hectare. Anticipate impressive growth of 600-700 grams within 8-10 months, promising rewarding yields.

Water Temperature Management:
Maintain optimal water temperature to enhance fish growth and feed conversion efficiency. Although murrel exhibit remarkable adaptability to varying oxygen levels, regulating temperature ensures optimal conditions for thriving.

Quality Seed Sources:
Source superior-quality weaned fingerlings, ideally sized between 5-8 cm, from trusted suppliers or farms in Telangana. With reliable seed availability, kickstart your murrel rearing journey with confidence.

Nutrition and Feeding:
Indulge your murrel with premium-quality, protein-rich pellets, catering to their carnivorous appetites. During the initial phase, feed generously at 5% of their body weight, gradually tapering to 2-3% as they mature. Access high-protein feed options readily available in local markets to fuel your murrel's growth journey.

Set the stage for a thriving murrel culture with optimal pond conditions, superior seed stock, and nutritious feeds, ensuring bountiful yields and rewarding returns.
